Lew Naylor has been providing leadership in the waste (Secondary Resources?) business since 1975.
Dr. Lew is an Environmental Scientist with over 30 years experience in research, design, training, and process control in management of biosolids, industrial wastes and by-products by composting and recycling of such materials through agricultural and horticultural systems. He has provided operator training, start-up, and process oversight for more than 30 in-vessel and open air composting facilities. Compost-related activities have included compost utilization and marketing, and odor management using biofilters.
Dr. Naylor has been on the faculty of University of Northern Iowa, Cornell University, and Goshen College and has taught courses at EPA and University Workshops and Training Schools. He has served as a technical writer and a scientific reviewer for several peer reviewed journals. He teaches a Compost Fundamentals and Process Control short course for compost operators. Currently he is an environmental scientist with Apple Environmental Services and Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at Goshen College in Goshen, IN.
